4 days left.

Where is my stress ball when I really need it..?

Yes I'm very stressed right now. I can't believe it! It's only 4 days left.. All this time that passed me by, this is it. The moment to show what I've learnt during these two last years of study. I hate it. Now when I really need to study the sun is shining and I would do anything to sit outside and to enjoy the beautiful weather.

But no, I'm sitting inside and looking outside my window. Well back to work I guess. You'll probably hear from me later tonight! Go out if you're indoors, enjoy the sun if not for your own sake then please do it for me! ♥ /Sofia

July 13th, 2007

This is the big day when the last Harry Potter movie will have its World Premiere, (Click on the name of the movie and you'll see the film trailer!) "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". I must say that I've read all the books beside this last one! (I even read them in English, Spanish and in Swedish!) Great books and as you probably can imagine, I'm a fan!

Anyway I hope I'll get good tickets! Not front row but you know what I mean.. ;) somewhere in the middle. I don't know why but I have this good feeling about this summer. Somehow I know that everything will be great! (Good weather etc.) Perhaps the movie will bring us some luck? I don't know now. We'll have to wait and see. ♥ /Sofia

Surf spray.

For a long time I've wanted to try this "Surf spray" since I've read so much about it! The brand Bumble & Bumble have many different products for the hair and this little pearl is one of them!

This product gives you the same structure you would get if you were taking a swim in for example Thailand where they have only salt water. Lovely! (I wish we had some salt water over here in Sweden.. Keep on dreaming.)

This is one of the products I will buy for the summer to get that perfect "surf structure" in my hair.. Ooh can't wait! You can order it from the website www.mrsh.se

Bedtime.

I can't believe it. I'm still awake. But I must say that I'm exhausted. Anyway I just finished watching "The Holiday" the first time I saw it I didn't like it but I believe I have changed my mind about that. It is a charming and cute movie! Summer of 2007.

I love the new H&M campaign; Summer of Surf! The pictures, the clothes and the settings where they have taken all the pictures is amazing! When I saw all the new bikinis I thought, "I want them all!" :)

Anyway hopefully I will be travelling this summer to a warm and exotic country where I can continue practise my windsurfing skills and perhaps also try surfing..! Why can't it be summer now...

Early morning.

I woke up early this morning because my brother and mother decided to wake me up. I was tired and I wanted to sleep more.. Anyway I guess it was for the best because I have a long day in front of me.

"Vintern rasat ut bland våra fjällar..."

Here we are, all classes of 2007. I must say I had a beautiful day with (as you can see on the picture) lots of sun and it was so warm! Perfect day to have the "mösspåtagning". It feels wierd though. Today was my last day in high school. Now there is only one thing left: exams! I can't believe it, they are all starting next week! I feel bad for the physics students who start with their exams on Wednesday! Anyway I wish them the best of luck!

I find it hard to describe the feeling I'm having right now because I am happy but at the same time I am quite sad that everything has now ended. It will probably take some time to get used to the feeling of "not going to school.." The next step we're about to take will lead us into the "real" grown-up world, meaning Uni etc. More responsibility, bills to pay, hopefully prepare ourselves to leave the "nest" meaning our homes.

A lot of things will happen during the upcoming years. I am looking forward to it! But I can keep on dreaming about this later - when the exams have ended! So time to go to bed, I have an early morning tomorrow - yet another busy schedule in order to use every hour, every minute and every second to prepare myself for the exams. Many hours to find ONE dress.

I guess I was out of luck. I didn't find the dress from Zara but I spent soo many hours walking through so many different stores until I finally found a cute dress from H&M (always H&M!)

Some of you might have seen it on Englas blog? A blue, cute and simple dress with small hearts on it. Adorable if you ask me ;) So I think it will be ok. Anyway my feet and the entire body hurts so much so I think I will take a shower and then give myself a foot-massage, which I am really good at by the way ;) So long! ♥ /Sofia

Exhausted.

Another long day.. I am completely exhausted. All I want to do now is to jump into my bed and sleeeeeep and never wake up! Haha well no not really I do want to wake up but not tomorrow.. Perhaps on the 19th of May? (Cause then all my exams will be over! I can't wait.....!)

Finally! My dad told me this morning that today's gonna be a beautiful day. I looked out the window and I saw the sun shining already..! Besides they said on the weather channel that it will be 20 degrees today! Yay! Finally the summer is almost here...!

Mösspåtagning.

I'm not having a good feeling right now. It's already tuesday and our "mösspåtagning" is on friday.. I don't want to panic but I have nothing to wear? All I know is that I can't wear white.. That's the dresscode for the actual graduation so I better find something else.

I spent a few hours in town with my mother this afternoon looking for something but I didn't find anything. Thursday is my last hope! I better find something then otherwise.. I'm won't be happy on friday.

Love.

Love. It fooled me once. It fooled me twice. I would probably say that there is nothing more beautiful than to be in love. Although as many people have said before love can make you smile but it can also make you cry.

I've been out of luck when it comes to finding one good person who I can give my whole heart to. This special someone that won't hurt me or ending the relationship by breaking me into millions of small pieces. Yes I have cried many nights for stupid guys that in the end never deserved me. I feel stupid but at the same time I can now look back and say that I've finally learnt from my mistakes.

No more crying. No more arguing about silly and ridiculous things. All I keep on saying to myself is be strong because nothing in this world can bring me down. Absolutely nothing.

I have to admit it. I am a sucker for romance. I prefer to have it the “old way..” with the true gentlemen etc… I also believe that it is the small things such as small love notes that one leaves behind for one another strengthens the relationship.

Once again I say it. Love. It fooled me once. It fooled me twice. This will not happen again. I won’t open up until I meet this special someone who really takes care of me. So unless you’re one of these true “old fashioned” gentlemen then don’t bother to try to get my number cause you ain’t gonna get it.

Long day, long headache.

Yes I woke up this morning with the worst headache ever.. And it lasted the entire day! Unbelivable. Anyway, I did do some reading and revising so I'm proud of myself! Yes! Although I'm staring at the big pile of papers which I have to go through.. All my revision notes etc. I better do something about it.. Now! I'll write more later dear readers! So stay tuned! Where is the love?

What has happened to the world? Our daily news always consists of words such as war, attacks, bombs, massacre, fights, murders etc. I quote one of the songs that the famous group Black eyed Peas wrote for a couple of years ago namely “Where is the love?”

It is true and everyone knows it. We live in a difficult time where many people around the world are forced to live under horrifying circumstances. I am talking about the innocent children living in countries such as Afghanistan where all they can hear daily is the bombs falling down in their cities, destroying their houses, hospitals, schools and other important buildings.

The question is, what can we ordinary people do? I wish I had the answer to that one. All I can think of is one of the sayings in the Bible, namely that we should treat another person the way we want to be treated by them. If everyone would do that perhaps we wouldn’t have so many discussions and countries wouldn’t have to go to war and kill thousands of innocent people?

This is the issue in a big scale. But I am happy that we have good politicians that are dealing with these kinds of issues and that they also are trying to come up with solutions to be able to decrease the amounts of negative news that we have to listen to every day. We all share the same amount of responsibility as human beings towards ourselves but also to other factors such as the planet we are living on. While people are suffering one can say that they are not the only ones having a difficult time, the nature and its wide range of animals and other organisms have also been forced to live under catastrophic circumstances.

This debate could go on for ever. Although all I wanted was to express my thoughts and how I see this whole situation that we’re all going through right now. My thoughts are with the children and their families who are living in the countries where the war is still going on. But also with the people who are working to inform other people about how much we are damaging our planet and the beautiful nature we have been blessed to have by having mass productions etc. Politicians such as Al Gore are taking the next step forward to inform us ordinary people about what is really going on in our climate zones etc. So if you haven’t seen the movie Al Gore directed “An Inconvenient Truth” then I strongly recommend to – see it!

Dieselverkstan.

Yes you read it right. Today I will be spending a couple of hours doing maths at Dieselverkstan with some friends from my class, we have organized this "study-group" and hopefully it will help us.. In some way.

We are supposed to meet there are ten but I'll probably be a little late.. I'm still in my pyjamas..!! So I better get dressed and hopefully I can get a ride with dad or something. Hava beautiful day! I'll be writing more later tonight so stay tuned! Ciao! ♥ /Sofia

Kate Bosworth.

I've been a fan of Kate Bosworth for a long time and I must say that she is the most beautiful woman on earth! Her big smile and the way she always lightens up the room with her presence (which I have seen on different movies and documentaries from Hollywood..) is admirable. She is a talented actress and I love her work!

Although I feel sorry for her that it didn't work out for her with her ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom after four years the couple broke up.. And recently all we've seen in the media from different events is a more slender woman, Kate what happened to your weight?

The picture above is from one of the big Hollywood events a couple of years ago, doesn't she look stunning? Her amazing eyes and still she did look rather slim here too? I really hope that she will stay healthy. After all I know there are millions of fans out there who look up to you Kate, I am one of them. And we all support you no matter what. ♥ /Sofia

Revision.

Soo boring.. I really wish I didn't have to. Unfortunately I have to deal with the last days remaining before the exams start revising all the things I've done during the last two years. Anyway as long as I think that everythings gonna be alright then there's nothing to worry about. Right?

I had this delicious lunch today! My dad had made lovely tacos! I looove it and it reminds me of my days in Mexico. Has it really been that long? Anyway I guess it's time for me to make myself become more useful. I have to help my mother with a few things around the house and when that's done I will "throw" myself on my books and notes because I neeeed to study.

Finally Friday.

It's been such a long week and finally the day actually came. I woke up this morning and thought finally, it's Friday! Finally a day to rest and most important of all to sleep.

Perhaps I should watch a movie now or something..? Because I'm not tired anymore.

One could blaim all these thoughts that are circulating inside my head to be the cause for it because I really wanted to sleep..

Well I guess that it will have to wait for one or two more hours when I'll become tired again. I need to drink something, I'm thirsty so I'll just go and get myself some refreshments and I'll write more in say 10 min? So stay tuned! ♥ /Sofia

White dress.

After weeks and yet many other weeks I've finally found one of my dresses for my Big dag! I'm talking about my graduation day when I'll leave high school for good..! I can't wait!

Due to the number of different partys I'll be going to I've decided to buy two dresses and like I wrote this is one of them. Quite simple but still with a cute detail, I'm referring to the black bow (see above!) I'm sorry for the bad picture I think someone has to clean her mirror...

Anyway on the same picture you can also see my new shoes which I will be wearing to the dress. They are really comfortable (100 % leather) and are from Vagabond and on top of that they also have a high heel! (6 1/2 cm! I couldn't be happier!)

Amazing weather.

I can't believe it's still raining outside? But I think I've changed my mind. I don't dislike it now since I'm indoors and to be honest it's kind of cosy all I need now is some hot chocolate! Oh I'm such a sucker for romance..

Terrific Thursday.

Despite the terrible weather we had today (it was raining the entire day!) I actually had some fun today! Can you guess what I did? Well I actually went shoping! ("Shoping cures depression" one of my favourite quotes! haha..)

Anyway I've been longing for a pair of Converse for a long time and finally! I got a pair today! (See the picture above) And as I had written on my blog under "this month's purchase" I've also thought about buying one of the most classic bags, namely a Longchamp, therefore I also bought a gorgeous blue one today! (See the picture above)

Grey Wednesday.

Where did the sun go? All I can see now is this grey and dreadful weather. I saw it was raining last night. But I guess it's just like my father said, "It's typical weather for April.." I hate to admit it but yes, once again you're right dad.

Miami.

It's been far too long time since I visited my uncle and his family in Miami.. Last time I was there I had a great time with my family and I must say that I think about them every day and the great life over there in sunny Miami.

The picture above is taken from their balcony and I must say, who wouldn't fall in love with that view? Well I guess I did. Perhaps I can visit them next fall? (Since I will probably be in the US studying next term..!) Looking forward to it!

I'm sooo sad..! The cute little necklace is sold out! I really thought I had some luck with me today but no sir. Still there are plenty of other necklaces to fall in love with!

Alex and Chloe are two famous designers and you should see their jewelry at www.kyssjohanna.se - I only have one word for you GORGEOUS! I've been thinking of a necklace in either silver or gold.. Or a black one which goes to everything.

Cute necklace.

Many girls still talk about this very cute necklace from the Swedish designer Cornelia and I have to say I've loved it ever since I saw Elin Kling wearing it on pictures from different social events in Stockholm.

Now all I have to do is to try to find it because I've heard that its sold out in almost all of the jewelry shops in Stockholm..! (Like I said I'm not the only one who fell in love with this cute necklace)

How high are you going?

I've been thinking and realized that the most common goals in life are to get the "perfect job", get married, creating a family and then live happily ever after. Is that all life can give us?

I'm 19 now and it feels as if life's just started! I mean there are so many things to discover, new places to visit, new people to meet and of course lots of new things to learn!

As I have written earlier in my blog I am doing my final year in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme here in Stockholm, Sweden. All I want to do is to finish this and to take the next step in my life: study/travel abroad!
I've been looking forward to it for so long and finally it's my turn!

Obviously I will get married (hopefully...!) and enter a carrier where I can perform a good job and enjoy it! At the same time I'll hopefully become a mother, talking about pressure?
Buisness woman and taking care of children at the same time? Well I guess that's what many of today's women deal with every day. I admire you! Hopefully I will be able to keep up with you and also do my very best.

Well sorry to say this I can talk/"write" in this case.. for hours! Unfortunately I'm not done with school yet. I still have those terrible exams in only a few weeks time so I better get started with some revision now. Hopefully I'll have time to write more later tonight, we'll see. I wish I didn't have to wake up this morning since I was having the most beautiful dream ever.. I was running around in NY working for some agency and the best of all, I was holding this beautiful bag from Chanel..!

Finally! I've decided to try to go to bed earlier every night because I've realized that I actually feel so much better when I have slept my hours..! Haha something tells me that I should have realized this loong time ago, anyway.

New week coming up! I really need to do a plan for all the things I need to do in all my subjects. Gaah I wish I didn't have my exams now.. Well I guess there's no meaning of complaining, I just have to deal with it. Be strong. :)

I'm walking on sunshine and don't it feel good!

I think I woke up on the "good" side this morning. When I saw that the sun was shining outside the window and I heard all the birds singing I just couldn't stay in bed.

Feeling better.

No more colds please... I can't stand it! I hate being sick. Yes I know the first couple of days everything is great when people take care of you and you can actually stay home and sleep all day but what happens when you've done that for a couple of days? You get sick of it. Well the good news is that I'm feeling so much better now and hopefully I can go back to school on Monday.

So this was Friday then, amazing how it passes me by so fast? Anyway it's going to be a long weekend. I've got lots of things to do when it comes to school work etc. Therefore tomorrow will be an early morning meaning that I should probably try and get some sleep.

Should I stay or should I go?

Yes I am talking about whether if I should go to school or not since I am having the worst cold ever. Although I only have one class today and I don't start until 12.40 PM .. we'll see

Sick.

I hate to be sick... I thought I could avoid it this year, but no. Here I am with the worst cold ever. My head and throat hurts and I have no energy at all. Disaster.

Anyway, my attendence at school must go on. I can't afford missing one single day now since the days are running out. Therefore I have started with my "intensive treatment" with "Echinagard" - hopefully I will be better soon!

The title of this post refers to the Swedish saying that you may enjoy visiting a new place but in the end you will always find home to be the best.

Yes I finally arrived at Arlanda airport earlier this afternoon after one intensive week in Oxford - doing revision for my up coming exams in May.

I had a great time and I had the opportunity to meet many new friends and amazing teachers! (It is during times like these you realize how cool it is do be involved within the International Baccalaureate Programme since you meet other people from all over the world!)

Oxford here I come!

Yees in about 3 hours I will be sitting on an aeroplane at Arlanda airport leaving towards Oxford - England! I will be there for one week so I better get dressed now since I have to leave soooon...!
